Weather Network: Ski season begins in Southern Ontario
The Weather Network reports that Ski season has begun in Southern Ontario.
The weather through the late fall has made preparing the slopes a challenge for ski resort operators. The ideal conditions for making snow are a temperature of -3°C or below and little humidity, but even that has been a tall order lately.
Horseshoe Valley Resort north of Barrie, Ont. opened on Dec. 12 ahead of many other ski areas but only due to good snow-making conditions.
