Peterborough is Shifting Gears in May

The 2012 Shifting Gears challenge kicks off May 1st and runs through the entire month. 

Shifting Gears is a month-long transportation competition and campaign encouraging people to leave their cars at home and use sustainable ways to get to work: walk, bike, take transit, share a ride, or work from home.

Sign up at Peterborough Moves and encourage fellow employees to participate. If you sign up your workplace before May 7th, you can select from one of three 'incentives' for participating. There are also draw prizes for recognizing everyone's hard work including a grand prize draw on June 8th.

On May 16th (from 2 to 5 p.m.) there is BikeFest at Millennium Park where you can have your bicycle tuned up and there will be information booths and swag.
