A Dry Summer Means Fire Restrictions

With the lack of rainfall across the province, the Ministry of Natural Resources has declared a No Restricted Fire Zone (more commonly known as a fire ban) in many places in Ontario. This includes many campsites and Parks such as Algonquin. This means no open campfires, and to be doubly cautious when using camp stoves. Looking at the long term forecast (which shows even more warm temperatures and little rainfall), there will be announcements of a Restricted Fire Zone Order (which means zero fire/flame allowed) such as presently in Northern Ontario.

Remember to be FireSmart, and even after extinguishing the flame, if the fire pit is still warm, the fire isn't completely out.
