Snapshot: Eastern Wild Turkey
When I was home for Christmas, I had the delight of watching four wild Turkeys scramble around on the icy snow looking for food. They would eat pretty much anything that looked edible (or not) that had fallen from the bird feeders at my Parent's house. There were three males and one female, and you could identify the males by their "beard".
The thing that surprised me most was how high they could fly. If you went outside and spooked them, they would clumsily take off high into one of the neighbouring Maple Trees.
