Toronto International Boat Show 2014
The 2014 Toronto International Boat Show kicks off this Saturday the 11th and runs until the 19th at the Direct Energy Centre (Map). Stop by to see the latest canoes from ClearWater Designs (Booths #132 & #E-201), Paluski Boats (Booth #1451), and Swift Canoe (Booths #E-401, E-606 & E-300).
Badger Paddles will also be attending and will have an assortment of paddles for you to see at the Swift Canoe booth.
Scott Parent will presenting “Decision Day: Solo Stand Up Paddle Across Georgian Bay” on Saturday, January 11th at Noon, Sunday, January 12th at 11 a.m., Monday, January 13th at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, January 14th at 1 p.m.
James Raffan (Executive Director of the Canadian Canoe Museum) will be presenting on Thursday, January 16th at 5:30 p.m. and Friday, January 17th at 2 p.m. The name of the seminar is "Meet Paddle to the Sea: North America's Most Famous Canoeist".
There will be demos on the indoor lake and a chance to take canoes for a test paddle.

The Canadian Canoe Museum is offering a one-day version of their two-day Canoe Paddle Carving Workshop at the show. Pick either Thursday, January 16th or Friday, January 17th and the workshop runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and costs $180 for Canoe Museum members, or $200 for non-members.
If you purchase your tickets online, you save $3 before January 11th. Ordinarily, Adult Ticket (Ages 17-64) are $18, Senior Ticket are $15. Be sure to check out the VIP night on January 11th.
Parking is available above ground for $14 a day (before 6 p.m.) and $11 an evening (after 6 p.m.). Underground parking is $17 a day (before 6 p.m.) and $14 for evenings (after 6 p.m.).
