Hits & Misses: A Clothing Pull

For today's "Miss", you can shake your fist at George de Mestral. George came up with the idea of Velcro after removing burrs from his clothing after a hunting trip.

While it is a great invention, it sure can mar up technical fabrics. Forgot to do up the velcro on your bag? Hope you didn't want to return that baselayer or keep that scarf in pristine condition. I'm sure your pooch thinks this is a "Miss" too (or maybe more-so you, when trying to remove burrs)!
