Check out the latest Kickstarter campaign for Aesent, "The World's Most Comfortable Tent". It is a four-man dome tent with an integrated 6" inflatable base. Your first thought would be that it would be prone to punctures, but they have created the base out of vinyl that is thicker than normal air-mattresses. If you are camping away from your vehicle, you can also detach the base so that it performs just like a regular tent.
