Trail Mix: Heartwarming

A 'frost warning' is not the news you want to hear when heading out for a camping trip, especially when you are trying to grasp the last warmth of Summer. Thankfully my new air mattress sure helped me sleep through the worst of it (gear review to come!) but what was warming to the heart came the next morning.

A couple who were from Germany were visiting Canada and their last stop was camping in Algonquin Park. They too were taking in the last of Summer and the beauty of the park and had been on a whirlwind trip around Northern Ontario. Since they were headed to the airport, they were nice enough to stop by and drop off two camp chairs since they wouldn't be flying home with them. They also left a bag of German coffee which certainly had a pleasant aroma. It was funny that of all the things that reminded them of home, they simply couldn't be without their beans (although they do get a good review on Amazon.de).

So now to return the favour to someone else and pass along the camp chairs to hopefully warm another camper's visit into the elements.
