Snapshot: Warm November Canoeing in Algonquin Park
Hooray for global warming? Usually we can count on a dusting of snow by Hallowe'en (and it sounds like Calgary is already welcoming Winter), but here it was freak +20°, which was the perfect excuse to take the day off work and go canoeing! I went for a solo trip in Algonquin Park and good thing I brought the Voyageur paddle in addition to a Ottertail because it was getting shallow in spots.
The colours were very muted and there wasn't much wildlife around (although I did spot two Pileated Woodpeckers and a cute little Mink who was cautiously watching me from shore) so it was really a peaceful trip.
