Justin Trudeau Canoed With His Family On The Rouge River
It was great to see Justin Trudeau in a nice cedar strip canoe with his family (his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and his daughter Ella Grace Trudeau) on Saturday as they paddled through part of the Rouge River. This week Rogue Park became Canada’s first urban national park and everyone was invited out to celebrate as part of Paddle The Rouge.
“Can I just say how nice it is that I get to make a formal announcement on the behalf of the Government of Canada in a t-shirt and jeans... on a Saturday morning... with my daughter Ella and my wife beside me... and a paddle and lifejacket and a canoe just steps away? So I might rush through my speech so I can get to the water...”
He chided that friends wanted to go canoeing through the GTA but that paddling the Credit River, and now the Rouge are both better options.
