GEAR AID Launches Knives For Campers And Paddlers
GEAR AID launched two fixed blade knives designed for outdoor adventures on land or in water. The Buri, with its drop point blade, is ideal for the avid outdoorsman or woman looking for a balanced, full-tang camp knife. The Akua is a blunt tip knife and sheath with webbing mounts for divers and paddlers. Both knives are equipped with a serrated, 3” corrosion resistant blade and a custom sheath with multiple attachment points. Each knife weighs 5.5 oz with a suggested retail price of $29.95 U.S.
The Buri drop point knife is built with the outdoor enthusiast in mind. It features two blades, plus a bottle opener for activities at the campsite. The sheath has multiple attachment points including a removable belt clip and 1” webbing slots compatible with MOLLE systems. With a butt end glass breaker, the Buri is also a rescue knife for emergencies.
For paddle and dive fans, the Akua blunt tip knife is well equipped with a serrated blade, line cutter, screw/pry tip, and dive tank banger. Whether you're paddling the river or diving the reefs, this knife attaches easily to your PFD lash tab, boat deck, or dive gear. Be ready when the situation arises and a sturdy cutting tool is required during a boating trip.
The Buri comes in high-visibility orange and black, while the Akua comes in high-visibility green and black. Both knives have a quick-draining, acetal sheath, making knife care quick and easy. Whether it’s your first camping/dive trip or your annual fishing expedition, the Buri or Akua knife makes a great addition to any adventure.
