Want To Camp On Sable Island?
Sable Island is located about 300 KM South-East of Halifax and was established in 2013 as a protected area for many rare and interesting species (including over 500 wild horses).
Parks Canada is now looking for input on the first management plan for the Sable Island National Park Reserve focusing on the ecosystem, cultural and natural heritage and sustainable visitation. What we think will be most interesting to our readers is that camping is a possibility!
A draft management plan will be completed from everyone’s feedback that will respect the natural elements of the island. You have until December 9th, 2018 to complete the survey.
