Garmin Basecamp For Mac Updated To A 64-Bit App

Garmin Basecamp was just updated to version 4.8.3 for the Mac and the biggest change is that it is now a 64-bit app. What does this mean? Well it will be able to function properly on newer versions of macOS (Mojave will be the last macOS release with 32-bit compatibility) as they come out in the future, and it will be able to take advantage of your computer’s ample memory (previous limit was 4 GB). 32-bit apps also can’t take full advantage of multi-core processors.

The PC version is still at 4.7.0. and did not receive any recent updates.
