eTick Is Now Avaliable In PEI
eTick is a tick tracking app that launched in 2019, then expanded to Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland & Labrador in April 2020, and recently Alberta and Manitoba. Now, through a collaboration with Health PEI, eTick is now available in Prince Edward Island!
Health PEI is responsible for the delivery of publicly funded health services in Prince Edward Island. The organization actively collaborated with eTick to offer these free tick identification services to all PEI residents.
If you are living in PEI, consult our resources to find out more about how to recognize a tick, how to remove it safely after a bite and how to send us tick pictures for quick identification. The eTick identification service is free, and we will let you know if you were bitten by a tick species that may transmit the Lyme disease-causing bacteria.
Found a tick? Send us your pictures through the eTick app, or on eTick.ca, to receive a quick species identification by our experts.
Download the eTick app now on both the App Store and Google Play and follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Canada, to prevent tick bites.
