MSR Announces The Switch Stove System For Spring 2025
MSR has expanded their camping stove offerings with a brand new stove that will come out Spring 2025. The Switch stove is an all-in-one, versatile stove that allows you to sauté, simmer, cook or boil, and use it with your favourite pot or pan.
The ‘switch’ feature is enabled once you flip the deployable pot supporters, allowing for elevated versatility with varying pot sizes. It also features a Piezo Ignitor and a stove regulator, which provides reliable performance in the cold and at altitude for better functionality on more adventures.
“Our current stove systems, the Reactor and the WindBurner are not going anywhere, they are still going to be an ideal fit for a more technical user. This all-in-one stove is designed to be a catch-all for the casual backpacker, who wants a technical and versatile stove at an affordable price.”
Another unique feature of the Switch Stove System is the patent-pending design of the pot, which is hemispherical. This design allows for a decreased boil time without using a heat exchanger. The shape also delivers much less carbon monoxide than traditional heat exchangers. Additional pot features include internal graduation marks and a removable sustainable, natural cork cozy, a more sustainable choice than petroleum-based Neoprene, which requires significant energy to produce. The system also comes with a fuel canister stand and lid.
