Fjallraven Is Reuniting With GORE-TEX

Over two decades ago Swedish brand Fjällräven utilized GORE-TEX’s technology in their lineup of shell products. Eventually Fjallraven switched to using their own in-house PFAS-free (per- and polyfluorinated compounds) technologies for their three layer jackets such as the KEB ECO-Shell Jacket and trousers. At ISPO 2024 it was announced that Fjallraven Is reuniting with GORE-TEX to use their innovative ePE membrane technology made without intentionally added PFAS.
Since 2009, Fjällräven has led the way in tackling PFAS in the outdoor industry, eliminating them from every level of its operations, across product lines, and from all fabrics and trims. Fjällräven then invested in developing its own waterproof shell fabric which became the successful Eco-Shell, launched in 2012. Now, with the introduction of GORE-TEX Products with the ePE membrane, which is made without PFAS yet retains Gore’s renowned “GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY” performance for consumer products, Fjällräven is proud to partner with Gore once again to deliver long-lasting shell products that are high-performance and low on environmental impact.
This means that Fjallraven will launch brand new products this Fall 2025 such as the Bergtagen GTX Touring Jacket & Trousers, the Bergtagen GTX Pro Jacket & Trousers and the Keb GTX Jacket and Trousers.
