Recently featured on Boing Boing, Andy Lyon, an Astrophysics student at UC Berkeley was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2008. After undergoing three rounds of chemotherapy (which Andy's stepdad feels is killing him as fast as the cancer is) and returning to school, he sadly found out that his cancer had returned. Andy then tried a stem cell transplant, however the remission only lasted a few months. Instead of trying more invasive procedures, he has decided to enjoy nature, and hike the entire Pacific Coast Trail. While hiking, the cancer returned in the form of a tumour on his spinal cord, but as noted on his October 5th blog post, he's back on the trail.
