Big Day For Canadian Canoeing Families
The beginning of May seems to be the shoving off point for two major Canadian canoe journeys.
We reported in April that a family was going to be Paddling Home (instead of driving) from Edmonton to Montreal. They set out today on a 3,500-kilometre journey and you can follow along with their route online. Keep tabs on their progress by following them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Canada Voyageurs are crossing Canada from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to Lachine, Quebec via canoe and have also set off in their 5,000-kilometre journey.
