A Family Is Going to Paddle Home From Edmonton to Montreal
On May 1st, Benoit Gendreau-Berthiaume, his wife, Magali Moffatt, and their five-year-old son, Mali are going to paddle home from Edmonton back to Montreal. They considered driving, but are taking a 17 foot Prospector Royalex lite canoe instead. They envision the trip will take them about four months. They hope to inspire youth to do outdoor activities and help them learn more about the different provinces and watersheds that they will be crossing during their trip. The family was just interviewed by CBC about their upcoming voyage.
