Casio Announces The Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10
Casio unveiled a watch today for the outdoors enthusiast at CES 2016. The Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 is an Android Wear device that looks quite rugged (Approx. 61.7mm×56.4mm×15.7mm) (similar in size to a Garmin Fenix) and offers lots of features for when adventuring outdoors such as a pressure sensor (to determine air pressure & altitude), an accelerometer, a gyrometer, and a magnetic compass.

- Has a 1.32-inch dual layer display that consists of a TFT LCD and monochrome LCD. You can switch between the two using a dial, which offers the best of both worlds when using it in direct sunlight, etc.
- Is Water-resistant to 50 meters
- Is Military standard MIL-STD-810G compliant
- Measures directions, altitudes and atmospheric pressure with easy push-button operation
- Receives automatic notification of sunrise/sunset times
- Displays the altitude remaining from your current position to the goal, the elapsed time and your travel speed in real time
Since it is an Android Wear watch, it allows you to install 3rd party apps such as ViewRanger (a GPS navigation app) and MyRadar (a weather radar app). The watch comes in four colours (Green, Orange, Black an Red). Battery life is listed at one day for normal use, or one month in Timekeeping-only mode. The watch will also pair with your phone via Bluetooth for a wider range of features through the upcoming CASIO MOMENT SETTER+ app (which will be free).
The watch will be coming to the U.S. in late March and will retail for approximately $500. No word yet on a Canadian arrival or price.
