A Few Short Short Stories To Read Around The Campfire
A Few Short Short Stories To Read Around The Campfire is a new E-Book that came out recently by authors Nate Simpson & Mark Paulick and published by @hashtagprintpress. You can purchase your own copy exclusively at the iTunes Book Store for 0.99¢.
Here are some interesting tidbits about the book that Co-Author Nate Simpson shared with us...
- 50% of proceeds from this book are donated to the U.S. National Park Service
- "Cry Baby" is about the formation of earth's oceans 3.8 billion years ago, when the earth cooled sufficiently for all the water vapor to rain down in a torrential thunderstorm that lasted for thousands of years.
- "Kora Kittner" used to be Kitty Killoran, the name of my wife's great grandmother. A week before I released the book I showed it to my mother in law, and she got so emotional that I had killed off Kitty Killoran in such an abrupt, rude way that she insisted that I change the name! Much arguing and discussion ensued, and I eventually settled on the current name which was inspired by Mark Paulick (co-author) junior high school crush (I got in touch with her to make sure it was OK that I killed off a fake relative of hers).
- "Visitor" may be the best poem in the book, and it was the only one written by Mark Paulick. He played the role of editor while I wrote and sketched everything.
