Gear Library: Try Arc’teryx Gear For Free Before You Buy

We stopped in to our local Arc’teryx store in Toronto to check out their new Gear Library.

We wanted to give our communities the opportunity to try new product and inspire them to go on a local adventure. We know that people new to the brand, and lifelong fans would welcome the chance to try new gear as part of their existing kits. It’s an extension of our instore service and experience, but ultimately our mission was to inspire our community to get outside with friends and family, with the ask that they share their adventure.
— Stephanie Jamieson, Arc’teryx Retail Marketing Manager

You can now stop in to any of the company stores in North America and pick out gear to try out for four days (depending on availability). Each location will have its own unique selection of gear and in this case they had the Beta LT and Alpha AR jackets, the AR-385A and AR-395A harness, Norman LD and Norman LD GTX shoes and a V80 rolling duffel.

One of the employees of the Toronto store mentioned how well the gear library was doing purely by word of mouth.

Simply put down a deposit, sign a legal waiver, then head off on your next adventure. What a great way to try before you buy.
