Arc'Teryx Launches 'Rock Solid' Program To Buy Back Used Gear

Arc’teryx took the wraps off Rock Solid, a new hub to sell your gently used Arc-teryx gear back to them or purchased used items at a great price.

“We put our best energy into designing our
gear. We build it to last, to endure the
wildest conditions, and even, possibly, to
outlive your adventures. We also use more
finite resources from an over-tapped planet
than we would like. That’s a problem.

Which is why we want you to think of this
jacket not as a jacket, but as a circle. If
you’re not wearing it, we’ll find someone
who will.”

THESE ARE THE ITEMS ACCEPTED FOR TRADE IN:

• GORE-TEX 3L jackets and pants

• non-GORE-TEX jackets

• insulation layers

• mid-layers

• non-GORE-TEX pants and shorts

• shirts (any blend)

• dresses

• skirts

• footwear

• packs.

Arc'Teryx is only accepting gear in excellent to lightly used condition. If it’s not acceptable for resale, Arc'Teryx won’t return it to you but instead donate it or do their best to recycle it.

Currently the program is only available in the U.S. Hopefully it will come to Canada soon as they mentioned that “they hope to bring Rock Solid north in the near future”.
