Ontario Closing Crown Land Camping Due To COVID
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry announced this afternoon that they are closing Crown land to camping to help stop the spread of COVID-19 (as well as ease the pressure on hospitals). As of April 16, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. camping will be prohibited.
You can continue to access Crown land for day-use activities that are permitted under the Stay-at-Home Order, such as exercise - unless other restrictions are in place.
Remember to follow the advice of public health officials and do not travel outside your region unless absolutely necessary.
Visit the Government of Ontario’s website to learn more about camping on Crown land.
