Yukon Parks Opening April 30th, 2021

Yukon is opening 21 of their Territorial parks and campgrounds on April 30th, 2021 which is the earliest they have ever opened. The campgrounds are only open to those that meet the requirements and if you do qualify, don’t forget to practice the Safe 6.

It’s currently pretty snowy in the Yukon, so more campsites will open as weather conditions start to improve. Backcountry campgrounds usually open up in late June.

You can also go to unserviced campgrounds, but they may still have lots of snow, no vehicle access, no firewood, toilet paper or garbage bins. Treat them like you would the backcountry and leave no trace.
