Killarney & Lake Superior Backcountry Opening Delayed For 2023

Following the news of Algonquin’s backcountry opening earlier than expected, backcountry camping at Killarney Provincial Park has been delayed this year due to “continuing snow and ice coverage as well as road flooding”. The new expected date is May 6th, 2023.

Similarly Lake Superior Provincial Park’s backcountry is also seeing a delay until an estimated May 19th.
