Solo Canoeist? Check Out SlackSeat
If you are a solo canoeist, but never installed a kneeling thwart on your canoe, check out the SlackSeat. Made by a fellow Ontarian Cole Bennett, this invention allows you to easily attach the seat to any canoe for instant comfort…
Slack Seat is something between a comfy kneeling thwart and a hammock for your heinie. You sit on it, but with your legs tucked under, in the kneeling position. It’s adaptable, so you can change the height and change how you sit on it. Stretch a leg, raise your height, lean a little more to the left—no one likes sitting in the same position for too long.
It can even be installed as a temporary third seat for your kid in a pinch. The SlackSeat is made in Canada, comes in four colours and costs $139. Stay connected with SlackSeat by following it’s Cole Benett on Instagram.
