The Canadian Canoe Museum Is Opening May 13th, 2024

The Canadian Canoe Museum had originally bumped the grand opening of their new location to 2024, and good news… they just announced that they will open on May 13th! The new location is at 2077 Ashburnham Drive, Peterborough, Ontario and there is also a grand opening celebration on May 12th but you have to register in advance.
The new museum will feature:
An integrated Collection Hall that displays of 100 per cent of the Museum’s watercraft.
A 20,000 square-foot Exhibition Hall featuring a brand-new suite of exhibits.
A Lakefront Events and Education Centre with a sweeping view of the lake.
An authentic Artisan Studio and Canoe-Building Studio to facilitate hands-on learning for youth and adults alike.
An accessible Library and Research Room with Class A archival storage.
A Café with a fireplace and adjacent Lakefront Terrace.
A Canoe House with floating docks to accommodate on-water and outdoor education programming.
Purchase your tickets online, or in person at the museum. They will be open Monday to Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
