Camping Reservations For Berg Lake Trail Open April 2nd

The Berg Lake Trail (part of B.C.’s Mount Robson Park) has been closed for some time now due to flooding and significant damages to the trail. We’ve covered some of the progress over the years and finally the entire Berg Lake Trail will open for camping reservations at 7 a.m. on April 2nd, 2025, for arrivals beginning June 26th.
After an extensive four-year, multi-phase restoration following severe flooding in 2021, the Berg Lake Trail is reopening soon. Extensive reconstruction efforts have prioritized safety, preserved the trail’s natural heritage, and enhanced climate resilience to withstand future environmental challenges.
Restoring the Berg Lake Trail has been a complex and demanding process, requiring seamless coordination between engineers, construction crews, heavy equipment operators, helicopter pilots, and BC Parks staff. Their dedication has been instrumental to rebuilding this iconic trail. The successful reopening of the trail is the result of collaboration between many subject matter experts, including conservation specialists, Indigenous partners, and local communities, ensuring a sustainable future for this treasured destination.
