Waterton Lakes National Park Issues Evacuation Order

Although the fires have been primarily in British Columbia, Waterton Lakes National Park has issued an evacuation order. This order covers all areas in Waterton Lakes National Park, including the Waterton Park townsite and all front-country and back-country trails, facilities and areas except for Highways 5 and 6 and the Chief Mountain border crossing.

Nearby wildfires are causing smoky conditions so consider alternatives and check the current air quality statement for Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek and Waterton Lakes National Park
