Recall Notice: Cabela’s Ultimate Alaknak Outfitter, Instinct Outfitter, And Big Horn Tents

There is a recall notice on Cabela’s Ultimate Alaknak Outfitter Tents, Instinct Outfitter Tents and Big Horn 6P tents, distributed by Westfield between June 20, 2019 and July 3, 2020, and sold at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop stores and online between August 2019 and November 2020. The stove jack ring can deteriorate when exposed to high temperatures from contact with a stove pipe, creating smoke inside the tent and a risk of smoke inhalation.

The tents’ labels have a date code with “HF” followed by a date range between and including 062019 and 070320. You should immediately stop using a wood stove inside the tent until you have examined the label to determine if the recall applies to your tent. If it does, stop using a wood stove inside the tent and contact Westfield Outdoor for a free replacement stove jack ring, and instructions for removing the old ring and installing the new ring.
