Helle Announces The "Nordlys", A Tinier Version Of The "Nord"

Norwegian knife maker Helle has announced a smaller version of their Nord knife called the Nordlys.

“Nordlys is the ultimate allround fulltang knife for outdoor use. Even before we launched the Nord, we knew we wanted to make a smaller sibling. Something that retained the possibilities for multiple grips and preserved the utilitarian blade shape of our bushcrafting machine, but smaller, lighter and therefore easier to bring on your everyday adventures.”

  • Weight incl. sheath: 278 g / 9.81 oz

  • Blade material: Alleima 14C28N stainless steel

  • Blade thickness: 3,1 mm / 0.122 inch

  • Blade length: 122 mm / 4.80 inches

  • Blade construction: Full-tang

  • Handle material: Curly birch

  • Handle length: 124 mm / 4.88 inches

“Over the past few years, we ourselves have tested the Nordlys on long hikes, short hikes, camping and bushcrafting. The Nordlys has done food preparation, made kindling for fires, thrown sparks off ferro rods, sharpened sticks, carved spoons and much, much more. The feedback from our product testers has been uniform: With the Nordlys you are getting a knife that performs well at anything you throw at it, and at the same time does not feel heavy on the belt while you are moving from A to B.”

This very balanced and lightweight full tang knife is available worldwide at a Helle authorized dealer near you.
