Starlink Mini Will Offer Campers Backcountry Connectivity
Satellite internet provider Starlink continues to come out with smaller and smaller dishes and now with the Starling Mini, it is finally portable enough to take with you into the backcountry. While not available in Canada yet, it should only be a matter of time before it is released here. U.S. units will indeed work here in Canada with an existing subscription with temporary roam enabled (to a maximum of 60 days).
The Starlink Mini dish itself measures 30 cm x 25 cm which could fit in a backpack and has a built-in router so it is more compact that previous models. It weighs 1.16 kg and does require an external power source.
For those that need full internet connectivity, this is the first option for campers and hopefully used with respect for those around them.
