Dehydrating: Watermelon

Want to hold on to Summer memories a little longer? Here's how to snack on some watermelon while out on the trails without adding five pounds to your backpack.

Since watermelon is mainly liquid, make sure not to cut your pieces too thick or else it will add to the dehydrating time. I left my dehydrator at 135° overnight and 12 hours later they were pretty much done. They will be a bit sticky so you can either separate them with parchment paper, or peel them apart when you go to snack on them (They almost taste like candy).
