Mayors Paddle Palooza 2016
Paddle the South Saskatchewan River on June 18th, 2016 and help support local charities. The Mayors Paddle Palooza offers three different lengths of canoe trips, followed by the YXE Paddle Palooza Carnival (hosted in Victoria Park starting at 4 p.m. where burgers, hot dogs, beverages and rides will be available).
- The Adventurers Paradise ($25 fee per person) - Starting out at Whitecap Dakota First Nation, this trip is approximately 7 to 9 hours duration, and is recommended for experienced paddlers, those in great paddling condition. You need to be able to paddle for the full day and sit in a canoe for the majority of the duration of the trip. We will join additional paddlers along the route at the other launch points in the day.
- The Full Throttle Paddle ($25 fee per person) - Starting out at Fred Heal Boat Launch (access is from just past beaver Creek) this trip is approximately 4 to 5 hours duration, and is recommended for moderately experienced paddlers, those in good paddling condition. You need to be able to paddle for the a half a day and sit in a canoe for the a long period of time. We will join additional paddlers along the route at the other launch points in the day.
- The Eager Beaver Paddle ($25 fee per person)- Starting from the Water Station Launch site (just past the Water Treatment Plant) this trip is approximately 1 hour duration, and is recommended for inexperienced paddlers, those in good paddling condition. You need to be able to paddle for short period of time and sit in a canoe for the full hour. We will join other paddlers who got on the route at earlier launch points and times.
